| Maokong Gondola: Distant Views of Taipei 101 and 360-Degree Vistas of the Taipei Skyline

The Maokong Gondola is the first gondola system in Taipei City. It uses an automatic circulating system manufactured by the French company POMA, with a total length of 4.03 kilometers and a one-way trip of about 30 minutes. Four stations along the route, "Taipei Zoo Station," "Taipei Zoo South Station," "Zhinan Temple Station," and "Maokong Station," allow passengers to board and alight.

The three most beautiful moments for riding the gondola are the misty clouds after rain, the sunset glow at dusk, and the brilliant night views. As you ride along the rolling mountain terrain, you can look out over passing MRT trains, the riverside park along Jingmei River, and the Giraffe Incinerator. At Angle Station 2, the gondola makes a large turn, opening up a wide view where you can look down on the stream of highway traffic. After passing Zhinan Temple Station, you enter a steep V-shaped descent and climb, the highlight of the gondola journey, a sensation that will leave a deep impression on you.

Please note: The "single-trip ticket" is limited to one round trip between "Taipei Zoo Station" and "Taipei Zoo South Station." Travel beyond these two stations will not allow you to tap out at the gate.

| Zoo Visitor Train (One-Way Ride)

Word has it that giraffes, tigers, and zebras are roaming around the park, and the children who see them cheer with delight!

The visitor train is decorated with animal-stripe patterns on its exterior, loved by children and adults alike, and is one of the must-do activities for many visitors to the zoo.

The train terminal is located next to the Koala House in the park. Visitors entering from the Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo South Station can also board the visitor train at the Bird Park Station next to the Bird Park.

Tired from walking around the park, or visiting with a stroller or luggage? The "Zoo Visitor Train" is definitely the most time-saving and effortless choice! Get around the park with ease and enjoy the zoo at a leisurely pace.

The style and layout of each train vary. The zoo recommends folding up your stroller before boarding so that children can ride more comfortably. The last car of every visitor train is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible compartment. If you need this service, please let a staff member know, and zoo staff will assist you in boarding.
